Parsons Group : Environmental Policy

Parsons Group Joinery, a division of S & A Parsons (Building Contractors) Limited, is a joinery manufacturing company supplying bespoke joinery to the building industry. We recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment in the use of raw materials, waste generation and emissions to air.

Parsons Group Joinery will:

• Comply with all the requirements of environmental legislation and approved codes of practice.

• Assess the environmental impact of all historic, current and likely future operations.

• Seek to procure timber from sustainable and legal sources and wherever possible ensure that the material is certified by either the Forestry Stewardship Council® (FSC) or Programme for the endorsement of forestry certification (PEFC).

• Minimise the environmental impact of our operations and in particular the effects of noise, dust and inconvenience.

• Make efficient use of energy resources, reduce waste and encourage recycling and recyclable materials.

• Implement a continual improvement process by assessing and monitoring the company's environmental performance against specific objectives and targets relevant to its business activities.

• Encourage activities that enhance the company's environmental performance.

Parsons Group Joinery aims to foster among its staff, suppliers, customers, and communities local to its operations an understanding of environmental issues in the context of its business. Our collective task is to ensure that we continually improve the environmental impact of our total global activities.

Through this policy Parsons Group Joinery recognises its responsibility towards the protection of the environment, and issues this statement as a commitment of both management and employees to minimising the environmental impact of its operations.
